Top Gun: Maverick

TOP GUN. This movie is about what I expected. Some USA patriotism, bros being dudes, Tom Cruise, and admittedly cool fighter jet scenes. In the theater I was in, the sides of the cockpit were projected onto the side walls which made for a more engaging experience. That was surely the best part of the movie. For a bit I was excited to see Cruise have to pass the torch to the younger gen for them to save the day, but nope - the climax is, of course, Cruise coming in to save the day because he's actually still the baddest around. Fair enough, I suppose.
