An eccentric Frenchman in L.A. gets into the street art scene, following around and filming artists. As Thierry moves up the hierarchy, he eventually gets to shadow Banksy. Thierry's whole shtick has been that he's making a documentary, but Banksy eventually realizes he's bluffing and decides to make a documentary about Thierry. Exit Through the Gift Shop is the result - a weird, confusing, but totally engaging look into not only this strange man but all of street art. It makes you question what makes art "good" or "valuable", while also telling a crazy story of secrecy, hard work, and faking it till you make it. Highly recommend.
