Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Directed by Jake Kasdan (2007)

I was intrigued by this movie because it is supposed to be a parody of the biopic genre that is becoming oh-so-popular, although this movie was made before all of the biopics made in the last 15 years. I think it mostly failed this charge, but I can't blame it. Shortly after starting I realized that the movie wasn't trying to be a true parody, it was mostly using a silly premise and make some dumb jokes. I certainly laughed a few times, but the humor was all crude and got a little stale after a while. I think I would have appreciated this film more if it was only one hour long or less.

My writing is sporadic above but I guess that's because I don't really have many thoughts about the move; it isn't really a movie that makes you think too hard. This isn't a bad movie, but I wouldn't put it on anyone's list anytime soon.
